Warranty Information

1. One-Year Unlimited Comprehensive Warranty

Klein Instruments, Inc. (“Klein Instruments”) warrants that each Klein Colorimeter (the “Product”) will be free from defects in materials and workmanship and will operate substantially in accordance with its published specifications under normal and intended use.

For a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase, Klein Instruments provides an Unlimited Comprehensive Warranty to the original purchaser. During this period, Klein Instruments will, at its sole discretion and without charge for parts or labor, repair or replace any Product or component that is determined by Klein Instruments to be defective or not operating within its specified performance parameters.

If Klein Instruments determines that repair is not practical or commercially reasonable, Klein Instruments may replace the Product with a new or refurbished unit of the same model or a functionally equivalent model.

The Comprehensive Warranty covers all necessary parts and labor required to restore the Product to proper working condition. Replacement products or components may be new or refurbished but will be fully tested to meet Klein Instruments’ quality standards.

2. Limited Lifetime Manufacturer’s Warranty

In addition to the Comprehensive Warranty described above, Klein Instruments provides a Limited Lifetime Manufacturer’s Warranty covering defects in materials and manufacturing.

For the lifetime of the Product, Klein Instruments warrants that the Product will be free from defects arising from manufacturing or material faults. If a defect attributable to manufacturing is discovered after the expiration of the one-year Comprehensive Warranty period, Klein Instruments will, at its discretion, repair the defective component or replace the Product.

This Limited Lifetime Manufacturer’s Warranty applies only to faults determined by Klein Instruments to have resulted from manufacturing defects and does not extend to failures caused by external factors, misuse, modification, or normal wear.

3. Exclusions

This warranty does not cover, and Klein Instruments shall have no obligation with respect to, damage or failures resulting from:

• Misuse, abuse, or improper handling of the Product

• Use outside the Product’s specified operating conditions

• Unauthorized modification, repair, or attempted repair

• Improper storage, transportation, or installation

• Exposure to environmental conditions beyond the Product’s design specifications, including excessive heat, humidity, liquid exposure, or electrical irregularities

• Cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality

• Normal wear and tear associated with ordinary use

4. Warranty Eligibility

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser of the Product and is not transferable unless otherwise expressly authorized by Klein Instruments.

Proof of purchase may be required to establish eligibility for warranty service.

5. Warranty Service Procedure

To obtain warranty service, customers must contact Klein Instruments technical support and provide:

• The Product serial number

• Proof of purchase showing the date of original purchase

• A description of the issue or malfunction

Klein Instruments may require the Product to be returned for inspection and evaluation. Customers are responsible for shipping the Product to Klein Instruments unless otherwise specified. Klein Instruments will cover return shipping for Products repaired under warranty.

If a Product is determined to be outside warranty coverage, Klein Instruments will provide an estimate for repair prior to performing any non-warranty service.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Klein Instruments shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of use, loss of revenue, or interruption of business arising from the use of or inability to use the Product.

Klein Instruments’ total liability under this warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the Product.

7. Disclaimer of Other Warranties

Except for the warranties expressly set forth herein, Klein Instruments disclaims all other warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

8. Governing Law

This warranty policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Klein Instruments is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

9. Updates to Warranty Policy

Klein Instruments reserves the right to update or modify this warranty policy at any time. Any changes will apply to Products purchased after the effective date of the updated policy.
