Measuring LCD:

Measuring LCD's (Liquid Crystal Displays) can be done using either the K-10 Colorimeter or the K-8 Colorimeter (for small LCD's). Simply point one of the Klein Colorimeters at the display. Connect the Colorimeter to a PC computer via serial cable. Start the Klein Colorimeter software. Click Measure color and the program will give you the readings.

 

Measuring Plasmas:

Measuring Plasma TV's is similar to measuring LCD TV's. Measuring can be done using either the K-10 Colorimeter, or the K-1 Colorimeter. Simply point the K-10 at the display. (The K-1 is a contact colorimeter and should be placed on the glass). Connect the Colorimeter to a PC computer via serial cable. Start the Klein Colorimeter software. Click Measure color and the program will give you the readings.

 

Measuring OLED:

The K-8 is best for OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) displays. It has a small 4mm tip for measuring small displays. Point the Klein K-8 Colorimeter at an OLED and connect it to a PC computer via a serial cable. Open the Klein software and take a measurement. The software will give you all of the details for CIE coordinates.
